I've been freelance translating while completing my bachelors in Comparative Literature, alongside working on my own translation projects. A brief bio: I was born in Belgium and moved to the United States when I was young, hence I was thrown early on into different languages. I am a English & German native speaker with a great passion for language. Since 2014 I have been working as English to German freelance translator. I lived in Germany for 13 years, working as a translator and teacher of English. Six years ago I returned to live in the UK, and took the DipTrans examination of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (passed with a merit in general translation , a pass in social sciences and a distinction in Business). My name is Allie Shakked Zur and I'm an educator, writer and an experienced translator currently living in Tel Aviv. Hebrew and English are both my native tongues and I have a background in hebrew linguistics and in education as well as sports and physiology.
