I am a professional translator focusing on medical and scientific translations from German and Spanish to English (both UK and US). Additionally, I am also a professor at a German university teaching English as a Foreign Language to scientific and medical students.

I lived in Germany for 13 years, working as a translator and teacher of English. Six years ago I returned to live in the UK, and took the DipTrans examination of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (passed with a merit in general translation , a pass in social sciences and a distinction in Business). I have experience in translation in the following areas - marketing, business, finance, fashion, websites, religious/spiritual themes, medical/pharmaceutical, university papers and theses, social sciences, literature. I am also happy to take on proofreading, editing and transcription assignments. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

I hold a B.A. (Languages) degree, two Project Management diplomas and a certificate in html/css and web design, as well as a TEFL diploma, amongst others. To expand my skills and knowledge, I lived in France, Germany, Poland and Spain for a total of approximately 7 years. I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others. Furthermore, I have translated novels, and poetry books. I love what I do. Currently, I am learning Portuguese and French in order to be able to translate from those languages to English.
