I am an English philologist whose biggest passions are languages and literature. My fields of expertise go from world's literatures to linguistics and language acquisition. Besides, I've furthered my expertise with an MA in Spanish as foreing language. I love learning about different cultures and traditions and trying to comprehend them so I can do better translations. Furthermore, as I love reading, I think that the best way to grasp an author's work is being able to read it in its own language. I also think it is important to learn languages because it brings people closer allowing a better understanding between them and that is the reason why I like translating: it builds bridges.

Mainly, my working experience has involved education working as English and Spanish teacher in schools and freelance. From 1990 to 1995, I was involved in a Bible translation project for the Pemon tribe in Venezuela. At the beginning of 2012 I joined Editorial Renuevo, where I became a bilingual editor of books, which we published once a month, mostly in Spanish. Later our company committed to publishing each book in both Spanish and English versions. My skills include MS Word, creating macros in Word, Excel and Access, editing Spanish and English and translations from one to the other. I also assigned editing and translation projects to off-site workers and held weekly online meetings to keep us all sharp in our skills.
