Starting from a young age I had a passion for English and managed to learn it to an advanced level, obtaining the Cambridge C1 certificate in Advanced English. I am a Romanian native speaker with many years of experience in translations. Over the years, I developed strong abilities in translation and proofreading in various fields. I am self-motivated, reliable, hard-working person who is able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and have good communication skills.

After working for several years for different translation companies, as secondary job, offering translations services from English into Romanian, as well as from Romanian into English, mainly technical documents, I decided to offer my services as a freelance translator in Smartcat, as well. Some of the major companies for which I translated different types of documents I can name Kraft Jacobs Suchard, GlaxoSmithKline, Dexion, Kärcher, among sporadic jobs for Romanian companies. You will not be able to find any samples of my work, other than the standard Smartcat sample document, since I have never asked acceptance from my customers to use parts of the translated documents for personal purposes. I am Romanian and Italian and I have studied English and Spanish at the University oy Pisa and University of Bologna. I have also lived, studied and worked abroad in 2009-2010 in Valencia with the Erasmus Programme at the University of Valencia.

My passion is the English language, so I translate with pleasure any kind of documents.

Aerospace Structures engineer with a focus on programming and a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics. Received a translator's diploma from the Ministry of Culture in 2020, with 9.12 / 9.25 points out of 10 for English-Romanian / Romanian-English literary translation. I have worked with texts from a variety of fields, including content for several websites, mobile app interfaces, video subtitles (predominantly English to Romanian), short stories and a historical fiction novel (Romanian to English).
