I have almost 20 years of experience in translating documents including 8 years living in an English environment.

I am a professional medical translator working remotely for about 50 hours a week with a productivity rate of over 3000 words/day. I work with scientific medical literature on a regular basis and I am familiar with English, Romanian, as well as Russian medical terminology.

All my courses and exams at the University were in English so I've been working as a technical translator after the graduation. I also had other jobs but the higher-education in English made me settle as a freelance technical translator.

I have experience in software and project management and have been working as a translator since 2018.

I am Romanian and Italian and I have studied English and Spanish at the University oy Pisa and University of Bologna. I have also lived, studied and worked abroad in 2009-2010 in Valencia with the Erasmus Programme at the University of Valencia.

I am a Romanian native speaker with many years of experience in translations. Over the years, I developed strong abilities in translation and proofreading in various fields. I am self-motivated, reliable, hard-working person who is able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and have good communication skills.

After working for several years for different translation companies, as secondary job, offering translations services from English into Romanian, as well as from Romanian into English, mainly technical documents, I decided to offer my services as a freelance translator in Smartcat, as well. Some of the major companies for which I translated different types of documents I can name Kraft Jacobs Suchard, GlaxoSmithKline, Dexion, Kärcher, among sporadic jobs for Romanian companies. You will not be able to find any samples of my work, other than the standard Smartcat sample document, since I have never asked acceptance from my customers to use parts of the translated documents for personal purposes. I own a Certificate in engineering translation from Russian to Romanian and from Romanian to Russian. But I had enlarged my knowledge domains. I am a detail-oriented and conscientious self-starter, able to accomplish the committed task. I have also the ability to communicate with people, and of course with my clients. I also translate engineering materials from English to Russian.

I've entered the field of translation in 2016 after being involved in other activities after finishing my masters in Translation studies. So, it was somehow going back to my first love. Since that moment translating has become my main activity, working as a freelance translator with agencies and private clients ever since. In this globalized world, when connections are very important in every field, whether we talk about business, travel, private life or medical issue, I feel that translators are that bridge that allow people to get where they need or where they want. The diversity of documents and fields that I have the opportunity to work with as a translator make me appreciate the challenges and enrich my knowledge.
