I am a student at Tübingen University interested in languages, history, and archaeology with a passion for Japanese pre-historic archaeology (particularly the Jomon period).

I am an experienced, educated (MA Translation) translator, with experience in translation, post-editing, proof-reading and editing. I work with SDL Trados and ATMS but am always open to learning more tools.

I have fluent command of three languages - English, German and Bulgarian. Growing up in Germany with a bilingual background, I fulfilled my dream at the age of 18 and moved to Szekszárd, where I started working as a volunteer in a kindergarten. After acquiring some basic knowledge of Hungarian, I decided to study early childhood education with a bilingual focus in Hungarian. After working in my profession and after my two older children were born, I started translating for MOZAIK, an internationally recognized publisher of school materials. After acquiring basic translation skills, I passed the state-approved Hungarian and German translation exam at ELTE University in Budapest in 2015. Since then, I have been working full-time as a freelance translator and proofreader. My main areas of expertise in translation and proofreading are marketing, catering, art and culture, especially music and literature, but also theatre and film (subtitling also), tourism, management, law, education, PR, humanities, politics.

A native German speaker, I am fluent in English, live in Germany, where I have studied for a master in social sciences and philosophy and worked in the corporate world in various positions. I am working as a professional freelance translator since 2008 with my language pairs being English and French as source languages and German as target language. Being very experienced in the fields of journalism, marketing, advertising, public relations, travel, tourism, games, cooking and culinary I have translated and revised for translation agencies like Jonckers, translated.net, onehourtranslation.com, Motaword, Language Support Centre, Denmark, alphatranslations and customers like Photography Collection LLC and Enigma advertising. I specialize the translation and proofreading of: - Business and commerce documents such as proposals, marketing and sales material, periodicals, newsletters, magazines, advertisements, PR materials and websites as well as articles for newspapers and websites games.

I am an extremely responsible person and possess almost 5 years' experience in the world of translation, during which I have gained excellent mastery of texts and topics in many areas. I was born in Switzerland and at the age of 3 we moved to Slovakia, so I'm proficient in German and Slovak. I have learned and studied the English language for 15 years now, so I'm fluent in it as well. I have worked for multinational companies, which required customer support in English and German on a day to day basis. Looking forward to starting translating.
