Growing up in Germany with a bilingual background, I fulfilled my dream at the age of 18 and moved to Szekszárd, where I started working as a volunteer in a kindergarten. After acquiring some basic knowledge of Hungarian, I decided to study early childhood education with a bilingual focus in Hungarian. After working in my profession and after my two older children were born, I started translating for MOZAIK, an internationally recognized publisher of school materials. After acquiring basic translation skills, I passed the state-approved Hungarian and German translation exam at ELTE University in Budapest in 2015. Since then, I have been working full-time as a freelance translator and proofreader. My main areas of expertise in translation and proofreading are marketing, catering, art and culture, especially music and literature, but also theatre and film (subtitling also), tourism, management, law, education, PR, humanities, politics.

Since starting to work as a translator in March 2016 I have translated and revised over 500,000 words in a broad range of fields, including marketing, technical, automotive, medical, sport and many more. I hold a B.A. (Languages) degree, two Project Management diplomas and a certificate in html/css and web design, as well as a TEFL diploma, amongst others. After moving to New Zealand, I became the online marketing and communications manager for Spicers Wealth Management in Auckland, followed by senior online communications manager for Tower Financial Advisory Services. I relocated permanently to Ireland in 2012, and am based in Dublin city.

I began working as a freelance translator during my master studies at the University of Vienna in 2013. During this period I mostly did subtitling jobs for the Austrian Film Museum in Vienna. After my graduation in January 2015 I began to work with several translation agencies, specialising in tourism, arts and culture, legal texts, website translation, marketing and cosmetics.

I was born in Switzerland and at the age of 3 we moved to Slovakia, so I'm proficient in German and Slovak. I have learned and studied the English language for 15 years now, so I'm fluent in it as well. I have worked for multinational companies, which required customer support in English and German on a day to day basis. Looking forward to starting translating. I have a Master's degree in translation and interpreting (German/English/Spanish) and I did two Bachelor's degrees in transcultural communication and Spanish language. Thanks to many stays abroad in the US, Spain, and Latin America I could perfect my English and Spanish skills. I've been working as a tutor (English and German) for 3 years and as a translator (freelance) for a year and a half. I fluently speak English and German.
