Born in Paris to a bi-lingual family, I grew up speaking English, French and Hausa natively. I spent most of my childhood in Saudi Arabia where I got to learn Arabic. Travelling around the world made me develop high cultural sensitivity skills. As a subcontractor, I have had the opportunity to translate for top hotel brands, financial institutions and UN specialized institutions, including Marriott, the Islamic Development Bank, the World Health Organization.

I am a English & German native speaker with a great passion for language. Since 2014 I have been working as English to German freelance translator. I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.

I've always had a passion for languages! Born in France, I grew up speaking French and learning English and German in school from an early age. I also touched on Italian, Spanish and Greek. But ultimately, my career led me to focus on English. I left France at the age of 30, stayed for 2 years in the USA, and have now been living in Canada since 2015. My background is scientific: I have several degrees in the biomedical and life sciences fields, including a Ph.D. in Biotechnology. I have over 10 years of experience in healthcare and research. During that time, I also offered translation services in my field as a secondary part-time activity. As of 2020, I am now a full-time translator English-to-French and French-to-English. My main interests remain in the medical/health sciences field, but I am also interested in a variety of other subjects that are not necessarily science related.
