Raised in a bilingual environment (French-Italian), I have naturally turned to languages and translation as a lifetime activity. With a university translation degree in hand, I explored various professional sectors to specialize in in specific areas - tourism&travel, hotels, education, fashion, aeronautics.

My name Ulrich DOUO, I am a qualified translator with a university degree in English, my native language is French (I am from Côte d'Ivoire but living in Ghana - Africa) and I have been working as a freelance translator for the past 10 years. Having specialized in the areas of legal, economic and technical texts, I have gathered substantial experience in these fields. I am very flexible in terms of working hours and workload because I am prepared to work late and on weekends in case of urgent projects. I strongly believe that to translate accurately, one needs to master not only the languages and translation techniques but also the subject in both the source and target languages. I am also convinced that to be an efficient translator, one needs to be flexible, be able to work alone or within a constantly moving team and have good organisational skills. My goal when I translate is to release well finished documents or applications that will be easy and pleasant to use. Trained as a translator and with over ten years working experience in a very specialized sector, I use both my thecnical background and translation skills to make your texts and applications as French as possible.

I am currently enrolled in a Multilingual Master in Psycho- and Neurolinguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). I studied French, Latin and English language and literature at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). I also have studied medicine at the University of Liège (ULiège).

During the past six years, I have gathered extensive experience in translation from English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish into French.
