My name is Vanessa Walsh and I'm currently working as a freelance translator and language teacher in Bavaria, Germany. I have an MA in Translation Sciences from the University of Heidelberg in Germany and a BA from Queen's University in Canada in Foreign Languages and Intl. Studies (French/German). I grew up in Ontario, Canada, and English is my mother language. Native English speaker with 10 years of experience translating into English (5 as a full-time translator), an Undergraduate degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Translation. I also have 9 years of experience teaching English as a second language and have worked as a copywriter for 1 year in-house, and 4 years as a freelancer.

With English as my first language, I grew up in a bilingual country where I was exposed to both French and English, hence my excellent mastery of my source language. I studied microbiology at university, then obtained a postgraduate diploma to teach biology, which I have been teaching for six years now.
