I am a professional translator focusing on medical and scientific translations from German and Spanish to English (both UK and US). Additionally, I am also a professor at a German university teaching English as a Foreign Language to scientific and medical students.

I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

I am currently studying an MA in translation studies on a part-time basis (2021-2023), having completed an undergraduate degree in European Studies with German and Spanish over the previous four years. Having worked as an intern in a translation and localization role in 2021, continuing as a freelancer afterwards, I have 6 months experience in translating a wide range of texts. I have a keen interest in travel and culture, having spent time abroad in both Germany and Spain during my degree. With exceptional writing skills, having written a first-class dissertation and essays for competitions and journals, I bring an organisational mindset and an eye for detail to my work. Professional translator

I am an experienced, reliable and diligent translator and copyeditor, specializing in academic articles. I take pride in producing quality work, delivered on time. My regular clients include universities, research institutes, and manufacturing firms. Although confident in taking on a wide range of text types in a variety of fields, my focus in recent years has increasingly been on economics, business and marketing. To date, I have translated or edited over 500 articles, and my work has been featured in a wide range of reputable peer-reviewed journals, including the European Management Journal, International Business Review, Cogent Economics & Finance and Expert Systems with Applications, to name just a few. Having lived in Spain for over 10 years, I have gained an understanding and appreciation of the subtleties of Spanish language and culture. Prior to working as a translator, I was an English teacher for many years, which gave me an excellent knowledge of the mechanics of English.
