I have been translating and editing Italian to English professionally since the end of 2016 and as a hobby for more than a decade. My focus is IT, marketing, retail, software, general business and creative writing. Prior to translating I worked for 20+ years in IT, sales and general management.

I am a professional translator focusing on medical and scientific translations from German and Spanish to English (both UK and US). Additionally, I am also a professor at a German university teaching English as a Foreign Language to scientific and medical students.

My name is Vanessa Walsh and I'm currently working as a freelance translator and language teacher in Bavaria, Germany. I have an MA in Translation Sciences from the University of Heidelberg in Germany and a BA from Queen's University in Canada in Foreign Languages and Intl. Studies (French/German). I grew up in Ontario, Canada, and English is my mother language. I’m a German-English Translator with a strong background in translating technical, general, medical, legal, marketing and business domain texts, writing for Meta description & Titles (SEO), articles blog posts, social media posts and other branded copy.
