I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others. Furthermore, I have translated novels, and poetry books. I love what I do. Currently, I am learning Portuguese and French in order to be able to translate from those languages to English.

I am currently studying an MA in translation studies on a part-time basis (2021-2023), having completed an undergraduate degree in European Studies with German and Spanish over the previous four years. Having worked as an intern in a translation and localization role in 2021, continuing as a freelancer afterwards, I have 6 months experience in translating a wide range of texts. I have a keen interest in travel and culture, having spent time abroad in both Germany and Spain during my degree. With exceptional writing skills, having written a first-class dissertation and essays for competitions and journals, I bring an organisational mindset and an eye for detail to my work. I also have considerable interpersonal skills through my role as a peer support leader in guiding first year students through their transition into university. I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. I lived in Germany for 13 years, working as a translator and teacher of English. Six years ago I returned to live in the UK, and took the DipTrans examination of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (passed with a merit in general translation , a pass in social sciences and a distinction in Business).
