I'm a native English speaker (FR->EN(GB) and (EN AU), living just outside Paris. I was born in the UK, brought up in Australia and have lived in Italy, Germany and France. I became a freelance translator after working with UNESCO, ESSEC business school and then pursuing a successful 16-year career in the IT division of EURONEXT, the pan-European financial exchange. As well as general cultural, scientific, educational and business translation, I specialise in banking, finance, stock market, financial IT, marketing, heavy industry, building and construction, and road and maritime transport. I also translate website content, themes and plugins. I am a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (UK) and a Chartered Linguist. I have NAATI certification (Australia). I am a recent graduate living in Germany. I enjoy translating on the side both as a hobby as well as a steady source of income. I consider Russian, English and French as my mother tongues. Furthermore, I am a fluent speaker of German, Turkish, Italian and Spanish and gladly translate from these languages.

With English as my first language, I grew up in a bilingual country where I was exposed to both French and English, hence my excellent mastery of my source language. I studied microbiology at university, then obtained a postgraduate diploma to teach biology, which I have been teaching for six years now. As a science teacher and translator with three years` experience in the industry, I am able to handle a variety of texts, and am particularly interested in science-related fields. I have experience in medical, legal, economic/financial as well as editorial translation. I also translate certificates, transcripts and academic testimonials. I do not accept to work in fields which I do not master, and do not work into my source language because I could not guarantee the quality of the work. I look forward to working with you.

I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

Before moving into the translation industry, I worked for over 10 years in the Corporate IT world and have a strong background in business communications and management. My experience as a translator is predominantly in the specialisms of Travel & Tourism, Business and some work in the Arts and Fashion industry.

I am a very experienced German, Spanish and French-speaking translator, localiser, proof-reader and editor of written texts from a wide variety of areas from those languages into English. I also have some experience in translating from English into German. I produce reliable and high-quality work within the fields of energy, industrial manufacturing, marketing, market research, sales, the environment, and also automotive, electrical, machine and plant engineering. To expand my skills and knowledge, I lived in France, Germany, Poland and Spain for a total of approximately 7 years. Moreover, I am also an excellent communicator (spoken and written) and administrator, and work confidently, sociably and politely in teams and on my own initiative, while multitasking and keeping to schedules.
