I am a passionate linguist with many years of experience in translation and interpretation. I hold an M.Phil in French from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, with a specialization in Translation & Interpretation, and also a C1 from Alliance française of Madras. I work predominantly between English and French. I translate mainly literary, general, administrative texts as well as scientific articles and reviews. Native English speaker with 10 years of experience translating into English (5 as a full-time translator), an Undergraduate degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Translation. I also have 9 years of experience teaching English as a second language and have worked as a copywriter for 1 year in-house, and 4 years as a freelancer.

I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. If I had to describe myself: a linguaphile. All of my life, I have been passionate about languages and how they apply to our day-to-day, from work to art to shopping and everything in-between. I'm an avid reader and love researching new methods or applications for linguistics and translations, especially website localization. //// I currently work both as a project manager for translations as well as a freelance translator for French to English texts. My main specialties include: -technology, marketing and business. However I also have experience with: -cosmetics, fashion and tourism. //// My work hours vary greatly and I tend to be available most times during the day and night and pride myself in the ability to turn around rush projects same day.
