I am a very experienced German, Spanish and French-speaking translator, localiser, proof-reader and editor of written texts from a wide variety of areas from those languages into English. I also have some experience in translating from English into German. I am a passionate linguist with many years of experience in translation and interpretation. I hold an M.Phil in French from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, with a specialization in Translation & Interpretation, and also a C1 from Alliance française of Madras. I work predominantly between English and French. I translate mainly literary, general, administrative texts as well as scientific articles and reviews. Winner of translation grant from Centre national du livre, Paris.

Native English speaker with 10 years of experience translating into English (5 as a full-time translator), an Undergraduate degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Translation. My name is Vanessa Walsh and I'm currently working as a freelance translator and language teacher in Bavaria, Germany. I have an MA in Translation Sciences from the University of Heidelberg in Germany and a BA from Queen's University in Canada in Foreign Languages and Intl. Studies (French/German). I grew up in Ontario, Canada, and English is my mother language. I have many years of immersion in my source languages, years of uninterrupted translation experience, and an excellent command of English, my target language. I specialize in medical translation. Further experience includes literary, academic, website, and business/marketing translation, and I have translated several documents including novels, academic papers, scripts, business plans, and more, from FRA-ENG and DEU-ENG.
