My Freelance Translator Journey Before putting an end to my career as an officer in the Army I had chance of doing great volume of translation works at the highest HQ of Army for 7 years from English to my native language, Turkish, in the area of military, security, defense, international security, arms control, disarmament, peacekeeping operations, peace support operations and crisis management. Besides that experience as a translator I worked at United Nations Lebanon mission (UNIFIL) Operations Center which is one the most important and longest missions of United Nations in the context of peacekeeping that gave me priceless experience on crisis management, peacekeeping, peace support and international security and its of course terminology. Not only this honorable mission did gave me experience but also I organised many events and attended at many meetings, workshops, seminars, events and courses in the area of disarmament and arms control in United Nations, OSCE and NATO.

Having majored in English Translation and Interpreting, I graduated from Abant Izzet Baysal University. After translated and proofread almost all kinds of texts including news reports, short stories, articles in Physics and Fine Arts, advertising copies, operating manuals etc., I have specialized in translation of medical texts such as radiology reports, discharge summaries, operative reports and pathology reports. I was born in 1998 in İzmir. I am studying Translation and Interpreting at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University. I am also doing a minor in psychology. In my education, I'm exposed to many different proffessions that will increase my translation competence and cultural understanding. I am able to use Cat tools. My greatest wish is to be a proffessional translator with high efficiency. I am confident and reliable in my language skills and i believe that i will be efficient for the role of freelance translator.

I am a Translation & Interpreting student having experience in translation and game localization. Among the courses I've taken there are consecutive interpreting, gender studies and translation, medical translation, audiovisual translation, literary translation, editing and proofreading.
