İstanbul 29 Mayıs Üniversitesi'nde İngilizce Mütercim-Tercümanlık bölümünde okuyorum. Medikal, teknik, pazarlama, yerelleştirmenin yanısıra kültür, sanat, edebiyat çevirisine de ilgi duyuyorum. I was born in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. During my high school years, I studied English and Arabic for four years. I started to learn Korean language two years before my high school graduation. Now I'm attending to 29 Mayıs University, Interpretation and Translation department in which I found a chance to take classes about Introduction to Translation, Translation-Oriented Text Analysis, Linguistics, Translation Technologies, Interpreting practices, Intercultural Communication Skills, Turkish for Translators, Academic Reading/Writing, Contemporary World Literature, Contemporary World Drama, World History and Arabic. I’m quite interested in literature.

I like translating texts from different kind of domains such as medical, technical, literature, marketing and localization.

I have a diploma in Translation and Interpretation Studies from one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey, and I have spent 3 months in Canada to enhance my technical competencies upon its completion. I have gained technical experience in English-Turkish technology translation for press with major companies such as Nokia, alongside translation for other diverse subjects. I also possess some knowledge of Russian and German, although my expertise lies in English-Turkish and Turkish-English translation.

Having studied in the departments of English Language Teaching & French Language and Literature at leading universities in Turkey, I have been working now for 9 years as a certified English & French translator in almost every field of translation.

Hi! I am a Turkish native speaker working as a self-employed localization specialist. As for my skill set, I am actively using Trados, Memoq, Memsource, Polyglot, Lilt, Xbench, and some subtitling tools such as Captionhub, Subtitle Edit, and Amara. I am mainly specializing in IT/software localization, technical translation, website localization, marketing transcreation, and subtitling.
