After working in different industries for over 10 years, I've started working as a freelance translator seven years ago. I'm currently a sworn translator with extensive experience in the translation of business/finance, legal, and academic documents including business procedures/processes/reports, agreements, research papers, website content, instruction manuals etc. in areas such as banking, oil/energy, construction/architecture, IT, etc.. As a passionate linguist, I made my debut in the translation and localization world in 2014, when I was only a freshman in the university. I started as an intern and ended up to be freelance translator at SDL Turkey for 2 years. During this period of time, I gained immense amount of experience and I learned how to use multiple translation tools. Following that, I worked for a transcription company and made transcriptions of voice records both in English and Turkish. Finally, I started working with Localex in 2017 and that was one of the best decisions I made regarding my profession. During my time in SDL plc. and Localex I made translations, reviews and proof-reading in a wide variety of fields such as law, IT, marketing, legal, medical, gaming. I am a diligent and skillful linguist working in the English-Turkish language paired with expertise in IT localization, marketing localization, and technical translation. With the aid of theoretical knowledge and language skills that I gained during my bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation Studies and thanks to my experience in the industry, I deliver precise, highquality, and timely localization services within these fields.

In June 2022, I graduated from Istanbul University, Department of German Translation and Interpreting. I have been professionally providing translation services to many translation companies and offices for 1 year. I specialize in technical, legal and medical translations.

Working as localization specialist for major accounts in IT, marketing, ERP, technical and legal since 2015. Before being freelancer, I have worked in company which is exclusive SAP SE localization partner in Turkey. I took part in localization of corporate and legal texts as well as translation processes of the SAP SE systems. Aside from ERP, I have gained experience in IT, marketing and technical texts. During my career, I have also worked as a project manager for 9 months and managed projects for major companies from IT, marketing (mainly tourism and travel) and technical fields.

I have been doing freelance translations from German/English into Turkish since my college education.
