I am a Freelance Translator, at your service on your aim to reach people beyond borders and cultural differences by bringing down the language barriers through translation. My native language is Tagalog/Filipino, a language that is spoken by millions of people, not only within our country but also by the immigrants and overseas workers worldwide; English, on the other hand, is our second language. While living abroad, I learned my third language, Spanish (Latin America). This made me fully aware that there is no better way to touch someone's heart but a word said in his own language--his native tongue. And I am happy that I am part of a community that makes it possible.

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I'm a linguist from the National University of Colombia. I'm interested in indigenous languages description and language revitalization. Translation and interpretation are two skills that i developed while getting my degree. Also, I study them constantly to improve. I plan to pursue a master's degree in linguistics and a PHd in theoretical linguistics. I have 31 years of experience teaching and tutoring all levels of Spanish. With a Master's Degree in the Spanish Language and Literature from Middlebury College, VT, I consider myself to be a grammar expert, in addition to being fluent in the language. I had study abroad experiences in Mexico prior to living in Madrid during graduate school. In 2010 I spent the Winter-Spring semester traveling throughout Argentina and homeschooling my then 3rd grade son and 7th grade daughter. Also in 2010, I began a summer language immersion program, True Immersion, LLC, in Sevilla, Spain for American teens - which continues today. I am highly proficient in Italian - primarily self-taught - but have also studied at the Lorenzo de Medici and Centro Firenze language schools in Florence over the last 14 years. From 2006-2011 I participated in an Italian Book Club hosted by a native instructor from Virginia Commonwealth University. I love the work of translating and look forward to helping you!

I am an English philologist whose biggest passions are languages and literature. My fields of expertise go from world's literatures to linguistics and language acquisition. Besides, I've furthered my expertise with an MA in Spanish as foreing language. I love learning about different cultures and traditions and trying to comprehend them so I can do better translations. Furthermore, as I love reading, I think that the best way to grasp an author's work is being able to read it in its own language.
