Hello, My name is Santiago Rosales. I´m a native Spanish translator experienced in technical translations. I worked in the past on projects about manuals, packaging, tutorials, programming languages help files, and more. Studying programming sciences and my interest in the field provided me with tools and knowledge to deal with any file format. Also, I´m able to provide high quality formatting to the output document, working on it from scratch rather than relying on file converters. My availability allows me to commit up to 3,000 words daily or more when the project is urgent. When delivering the final result, I also include some QA results on the source if it has any issue that should be fixed. I enjoy translation for many reasons. I have always had an interest in foreign languages and cultures, so it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with them. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry).
