My name is Cristina Fernández and I am a full-time Spanish translator and proofreader. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (University of Salamanca, 2012). I am native in Spanish (EU) and I am fluent in English and French. I have 10 years of experience, one as an in-house Project Manager for a Spanish Agency (McFelder Translations) and 9 as a freelancer, working with several agencies as well as direct clients (Booking.com, Amazon.com and others).

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I am a NATIVE Spanish speaker, from Spain. I’ve been working as a freelance translator since 2006. I am fluent in English and Portuguese and have an extensive knowledge of IT, technology, finance, economics, business, games and marketing, fields I worked in for more than 12 years. As a translator, I have been working on multiple projects for multinationals such IBM and Telefonica. On a daily basis, I translate websites, landing pages, softwares, documents, emails, banners, blogs, contracts, etc. I got my degree in Economics and Business Administration by the University of Valladolid (Spain) back in 2002. I hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration by the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, one of the most prominent Universities in Spain. I have an eye for detail and deliver spotless translations. I also work quickly, without affecting the quality of the projects I work on.

I translate English into Spanish or Catalan. I can translate all kind of topics, but I have a lot of experience in financial, trading and marketing translations.

I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..)
