Hello! My name is Vilma Hinkelammert. I´m a Costa Rican translator, a Spanish philologist and I´m studying for a Master´s Degree in linguistics. I have also worked as proofreader and copy editor for academic journals. I have experience in different fields such as education, e-commerce, linguistics, social sciences, migration and websites. As an immigrant in the USA I have experienced first hand the challenges of language barriers, and my passion for languages and desire to help my community motivated me to learn more about language services. I have worked with educational, religious entities and businesses to address the disconnection between them and their Spanish speaking audience. I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish from Utah Valley University and I have been involved in translation and interpretation for the last 14 years. I have experience translating legal documents, religious articles and higher education content that has been used internationally. Now, as an entrepreneur of a translation and localization business, I know I have the cultural and linguistic knowledge to help you and your business to not be lost in translation.

I am a Journalist with a strong determination and attention to detail in terms of writing and translating from English to Spanish and vice versa.
