Dear Sirs, My name is Sunita. I'm not a certified translator but I have a large and extensive experience in the translation and proofreading field in the English-Spanish language pair. I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I have a bachelors degree in Business with Marketing and Human Resources Diplomas. I've been working for more than 30 years in Translation, Transcription and Transcreation. I've been working as a professional translator since 2015, when I finished my degree. After that, I completed two masters and I am currently carrying out my PdH research. I speak five languages, German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. I work as well as a foreign language teacher at college.

I enjoy translation for many reasons. I have always had an interest in foreign languages and cultures, so it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with them. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry). As an immigrant in the USA I have experienced first hand the challenges of language barriers, and my passion for languages and desire to help my community motivated me to learn more about language services. I have worked with educational, religious entities and businesses to address the disconnection between them and their Spanish speaking audience. I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish from Utah Valley University and I have been involved in translation and interpretation for the last 14 years. I have experience translating legal documents, religious articles and higher education content that has been used internationally.
