I have a Translation and interpreting degree, specialised in Sworn Translation. Experience in translations for the Polytechnic University department, essays, and educational material, as well as translations in the International trade area covering a wide range of fields.

I have 31 years of experience teaching and tutoring all levels of Spanish. With a Master's Degree in the Spanish Language and Literature from Middlebury College, VT, I consider myself to be a grammar expert, in addition to being fluent in the language. I had study abroad experiences in Mexico prior to living in Madrid during graduate school. In 2010 I spent the Winter-Spring semester traveling throughout Argentina and homeschooling my then 3rd grade son and 7th grade daughter. Also in 2010, I began a summer language immersion program, True Immersion, LLC, in Sevilla, Spain for American teens - which continues today. I am highly proficient in Italian - primarily self-taught - but have also studied at the Lorenzo de Medici and Centro Firenze language schools in Florence over the last 14 years. From 2006-2011 I participated in an Italian Book Club hosted by a native instructor from Virginia Commonwealth University. I love the work of translating and look forward to helping you!

I started my career as professional translator in 1995, when I joined the foreign department of a pharmaceutical company. At that time, I enjoyed an international environment, giving me the possibility to work extensively in different kind of documents, including technical translations, legal and financial. Afterwards in 2005, 9 years later, I started my career as independent translator. Other languages I translate from using a dictionary: Arabic, Polish.

After 4 years of working as a freelance translator, I have acquired experience in different fields, mainly website and software localisation, marketing (brochures, newsletters...), education and sworn translations French-Spanish. I love making my translations natural so I put all my attention and research abilities to offer the best possible option.

I'm a Catalan - English - Italian - Spanish freelance translator. I specialise in Biomedicine, Science, IT (Google & Apple), Sports, and Journalism. I also proofread texts in Spanish and Catalan. My daily translation output is around 2,500 - 3,000 words. In the near future, I want to translate literature (one of my great passions). I'm member of APTIC (Association of Professionals Translators and Interpreters of Catalonia).
