I am a professional with more than 30 years of experience in English to Spanish and Spanish to English translations. I am capable of delivering excellent quality at an affordable rate. I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I attended an American school learning English as a Native rather than as a second language. I have spent the last 20+ years living in Mexico working as an interpreter and translator for American companies such as Jockey Intl. and Skyline Builders and then I worked with the Real Estate and Tourism Industry at the Riviera Maya for more than 5 years, where I wrote and translated web content, newsletters, rental and sales agreements, contracts and “fideicomisos”.

For the last three years I have been translating books, scripts, stories and novels for renowned American, British and Canadian authors. I have a degree in Translation (English to Spanish and Spanish to English) and Editing in Spanish (Corrección de Textos) I also have a degree in Biochemistry.

As a Philosophy student I focused in the field of Linguistics, which during college I combined with my passion for learning foreign languages: French and Russian, as well as perfecting my English. My interest in language and logic has led me to specialize also in modern fields such as software development translations, gaming localization, AI input/output editing, etc. After college I started learning Arabic language, also combined with my job as an editorial coordinator for institutionalized magazines belonging to professionals' associations of engineers and industrial chambers.

I define myself as a highly motivated and qualified EN/DE>ES Translator with great expertise in a plurality of translation fields. With high ambitions and capabilities, I always put all of my efforts into identifying clients’ needs and meeting them with appropriate and effective linguistic solutions. I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others.
