Hi, I am Susana Vivas, a professional English-Spanish translator based in Argentina. After years of working as in-house translation team leader and senior translator/editor, I've co-founded ON (Please visit us on www.onlocalization.com). I'm currently holding the L10N and Operation Manager position. I've been working as a professional translator since 2015, when I finished my degree. After that, I completed two masters and I am currently carrying out my PdH research. I speak five languages, German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. I work as well as a foreign language teacher at college.

I am a professional with more than 30 years of experience in English to Spanish and Spanish to English translations. I am capable of delivering excellent quality at an affordable rate. I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I attended an American school learning English as a Native rather than as a second language. I have spent the last 20+ years living in Mexico working as an interpreter and translator for American companies such as Jockey Intl. and Skyline Builders and then I worked with the Real Estate and Tourism Industry at the Riviera Maya for more than 5 years, where I wrote and translated web content, newsletters, rental and sales agreements, contracts and “fideicomisos”.

For the last three years I have been translating books, scripts, stories and novels for renowned American, British and Canadian authors. I have a degree in Translation (English to Spanish and Spanish to English) and Editing in Spanish (Corrección de Textos) I also have a degree in Biochemistry.

I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I translate websites, contracts, business presentations, products descriptions, medical records etc ....

Translations

As a Philosophy student I focused in the field of Linguistics, which during college I combined with my passion for learning foreign languages: French and Russian, as well as perfecting my English. My interest in language and logic has led me to specialize also in modern fields such as software development translations, gaming localization, AI input/output editing, etc. After college I started learning Arabic language, also combined with my job as an editorial coordinator for institutionalized magazines belonging to professionals' associations of engineers and industrial chambers.

I am currently working as a freelance translator from Russian, English and Bulgarian into Spanish for national and international agencies and also I work as a freelance translator from Bulgarian into Spanish for European Parlament and for a couple of agencies I work as a reviser.
