I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I translate websites, contracts, business presentations, products descriptions, medical records etc ....

I have been translating for over 30 years. I am also a published writer.

Interpreting and translating at all as a profession is close to me in spirit. I have discipline, perseverance, a versatile view of the world, flexibility. In addition to translating. My experience is based on the study of textbooks on the translation of Ermolovich, Bernstein, Komissarov, Iovenko, Lancikov and other experts. Editing by my teachers, as well as my own analysis. I'm a partner lawyer in a «boutique legal firm» –since 1996– providing legal assistance to foreign clients, and I also work as a freelance translator EN>ES, specialized in LEGAL DOCUMENTS, since 2007.

I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others. Furthermore, I have translated novels, and poetry books. I love what I do. Currently, I am learning Portuguese and French in order to be able to translate from those languages to English.

I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I attended an American school learning English as a Native rather than as a second language. I have spent the last 20+ years living in Mexico working as an interpreter and translator for American companies such as Jockey Intl. and Skyline Builders and then I worked with the Real Estate and Tourism Industry at the Riviera Maya for more than 5 years, where I wrote and translated web content, newsletters, rental and sales agreements, contracts and “fideicomisos”.

For the last three years I have been translating books, scripts, stories and novels for renowned American, British and Canadian authors. I have a degree in Translation (English to Spanish and Spanish to English) and Editing in Spanish (Corrección de Textos) I also have a degree in Biochemistry.

Since I was on college I had a strong passion for linguistics and the proccess of how language is acquired.
