My name is Cristina Fernández and I am a full-time Spanish translator and proofreader. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (University of Salamanca, 2012). I am native in Spanish (EU) and I am fluent in English and French. I have 10 years of experience, one as an in-house Project Manager for a Spanish Agency (McFelder Translations) and 9 as a freelancer, working with several agencies as well as direct clients (Booking.com, Amazon.com and others).

Since I was on college I had a strong passion for linguistics and the proccess of how language is acquired. I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others. Furthermore, I have translated novels, and poetry books. I love what I do. Currently, I am learning Portuguese and French in order to be able to translate from those languages to English.

I'm a partner lawyer in a «boutique legal firm» –since 1996– providing legal assistance to foreign clients, and I also work as a freelance translator EN>ES, specialized in LEGAL DOCUMENTS, since 2007.
