My name is Aleksandra Urbas, I am a translator, an entrepreneur, an author and a project manager. I aspire for new knowledge in life, I am always interested in new opportunities and new contacts. My husband and I have a family business, I am working mostly in the field of project and sales management and translation. My language combinations are: RUS - SLO, SLO - RUS, ENG - RUS, RUS - ENG, SLO - ENG, ENG - SLO. My work experience will speak for itself, but I am always looking for new knowledge, that is why I am educating myself frequently. I do not have a linguistic education, but in the process of my education, working as a lecturer, a researcher and an IT manager (up to CIO), I very often had to apply my knowledge of English for reading and translating English literature and documentation. Since 2017, translation has become the main activity for me. In this work I always try to achieve a meaningful result. Machine translation is mostly not used, although occasionally I resort to it, if the subject allows. I intensively use the CAT-system tools: translation memory, glossaries, concordance search. In the search for translations of terms I use all available means taking into account the context. I can aloso translate into another direction (English) but it's a torture for me because I'm not native in it.

I've been working as a translator since 2009 (mainly in mining, processing and safety areas) and have an experience working in the USA (for 2 years). I'm very responsible, honest, reliable, sociable, flexible and a fast learner.
