My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2006, with more than 6 million words translated to date. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each.

I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.

I am an experienced translator in the English-Russian and Arabic-Russian language pairs; I have participated in both small-scale and large-scale translation projects for both Russian and foreign companies and individuals, including Tatarstan Agroindustrial Center for Investment and Innovations (RACIN, Russia), TransLink Translation Agency (Russia), eRazvitie.org magazine (Russia), Insider.pro magazine (Russia), AKTERM Research and Production Company (Russia), Sferastudios LLC (USA), LIBO International (China), Embassy of the Republic of India in the Russian Federation, A2Z Languages (Russia), Kazan Federal University (Russia), etc. My overall translation & interpretation experience is over 12 years long and includes several dozens of different projects.
