For 18 years I have been working as a translator, editor and author specialized in sports, fitness, bodybuilding, sports science, health, active lifestyle and nutrition (Moscow, Russia). 1994-1999 - office manager, translator 1999-2007 - translator, editor-in-chief of Russian editions of USA magazines Ironman and Muscular Development. since 2007 - translator of the research department (ART Sovremennie Nauchnie Tekchnologii/ART Modern Research Technologies - manufacturer of sports nutrition products), editor of internet sites www.ironman.ru, www.sportservice.ru

I studied the rules of translation of specialized technical terms in the field of radiophysics, physics, energy etc. Translated (from English into Russian and Ukrainian and vice versa) of scientific and technical literature, articles, abstracts, instructions and other documentation in the field of energy, mining and nuclear industry, physics, chemistry, mechanics, construction, quality systems .... including ISO IAEA.

Except of my university education was 80% in English and I learned the basics of the translation in the directions of the international relations, politics, economics, finance, business communication, tourism and art, I have a significant experience with English as a Second Language and here is the list of some projects I was and being involved in as a translator at the moment: - Software Localization for users (textile sector, 54k words); - Translation of the business-related internal communications, various announcements for personnel and administrative media materials for the international tobacco factory (8 years); - Translation and editing of marketing materials for the international glass producer as well as localization of the e-learning course for personnel (totally 50k words): - News and Media translation for global energy company. My language career started in 2010 in capacity of an English teacher. During 5 years I passed my knowledges to children and adults with a strongly attempt not to give them unfocused information and worked with them according to their demand. After time they achieved their goals, not as much clear ones of children and natural of adults. During this kind of doing I made a point of working only with those who know what they want. Soon I decided to expand my field of knowledge and jumped into science. That was breathtaking experience. After a while I began to practice as a translator, mostly in biology, science, neuroscience, patents. Now I keep on going in medicine, pharmaceuticals and would like to try something new as well. After that, I’ve climbed all the stages of Russian medical training, obtained a distinction, and won the President of Russia’s grant for a one-year Ph.D. training in Marburg, Germany. While performing a physician’s career, I’ve started my experience as a freelancer in the medical translation of Clinical study protocols, manuals, and clinical documents in various medical disciplines. In recent years, I’ve concentrated in preparation of scientific papers for publication in US-English medical journals.

I am a English & German native speaker with a great passion for language. Since 2014 I have been working as English to German freelance translator. In addition to that I have also gained valuable in-house experience by working at established and well-known translation agencies occupying roles as translation checker and proof-reader as well as project manager and translator.
