I'm Arina, a CERTIFIED English translator with a technical background. My experience has a large number of translations in different fields. I've translated texts for ROSSETI (the largest energy company in Russia and the world), STMU ESKM (large construction company of Krasnodar), PROGRESS, FC Krasnodar (famous football club of Krasnodar) and others. - 5 years translation experience (English, German, Ukrainian, Russian) including freelance - 2 years teaching English and German - Russian and Ukrainian, both are my native languages - Expert general translations - Expert technical and specialized translation (Fashion, Chemistry, Petroleum industry, Electricity supply, Technical equipment, Jurisdiction, Agricultural equipment, Wine production) - Translation correction I'm dedicated, client-oriented and 100 percent reliable. I am a native Russian translator with more than 10 years of experience in translating computer hardware/software reviews and technical documents from English to Russian. Also I've done numerous translations on legal, insurance and general subjects.

I have been doing translations since 2006. I'm also running a translation agency, however that's a separate business, and you can be sure that all translations at smartcat are done by me personally. I am a certified translator, conference interpreter, engineer and Candidate of technical sciences (kandidat nauk). My language-related hobbies include etymology and comparative linguistics. * Yes, I do speak several languages. * No, I am not fluent enought in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish, Azerbaijani or Arabic to translate TO these languages, but I do understand them enough to translate FROM them.

I have been lucky enough to travel across the world from a very young age, and this has given me the opportunity to gain exposure in various fields of work with skillful professionals. I aspire to represent myself accordingly given my work ethic and experience. I am confident in being a potentially valuable asset to an organization with my fresh outlooks on todays fast-paced business world, reliability, and applaudable communication skills.

I do not have a linguistic education, but in the process of my education, working as a lecturer, a researcher and an IT manager (up to CIO), I very often had to apply my knowledge of English for reading and translating English literature and documentation. Since 2017, translation has become the main activity for me. In this work I always try to achieve a meaningful result. Machine translation is mostly not used, although occasionally I resort to it, if the subject allows. I intensively use the CAT-system tools: translation memory, glossaries, concordance search. In the search for translations of terms I use all available means taking into account the context. I can aloso translate into another direction (English) but it's a torture for me because I'm not native in it.
