Full stack of administrative responsibilities in supporting project teams: from translation/interpreting to preparing of all kinds of documents and spreadsheets. Perfectionist. Very organized and keen to details when it comes to deadlines and quality of work. Flexible and innovative and is always willing to learn and try new things. Possess vast experience in communicating with all sorts of English accents. There even were situations when I acted as an interpreter from English into English for native and non-native English speakers. Thousands of letters and texts were written including complex technical stuff. Sometimes act as a freelancer for people who want to upgrade their English. Besides, I volunteer on occasional basis for the Google translation service.

I translate from English and German into Russian and Belarusian. Russian & Belarusian are my native languages, I am bilingual. I have appropriate linguistic education (Minsk State Linguistic University, graduated in 2000) and translation experience since 1999 including jobs for direct customers and translation agencies. I am a member of ProZ Certified PRO Network (see the certificate) to ensure an additional warranty of my high-quality work). I guarantee observing the deadline and high quality. When translating, I research to find appropriate translations of terms and common terminology. After the text is translated, I check the translation against the source so there are no mistakes and inconsistency in the text, and then I run spell-check. In case of large texts, I analyze the frequent terminology.

My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2006, with more than 6 million words translated to date. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each. I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.
