I am a freelance translator (looking for single projects or temporary/permanent contracts) specializing mostly in medical devices, health care, computer/tabletop games, IT, telecom, QA and risk analysis. I'm a versatile person so there are lots of other things I'm interested in. I work in Trados, SmartCat, Phrase, MemoQ, Wordfast, Xtm cloud, OmegaT, Passolo, Xbench, Aegisub and Subtitle Edit, and I can master any other tool as well. In addition to translation, I can create and manage termbases and translation memories, localize software, perform localisation testing, create and translate subtitles, teach people how to use CAT, and help to solve technical issues of CAT. I had about 10 years of experience as a tech support specialist and a tester/QA, so I'm good at many of IT topics. I had an experience of writing and translating manuals and other texts, and testing software localization. I have a high level of literacy and a good sense of style in Russian.

I studied the rules of translation of specialized technical terms in the field of radiophysics, physics, energy etc. Translated (from English into Russian and Ukrainian and vice versa) of scientific and technical literature, articles, abstracts, instructions and other documentation in the field of energy, mining and nuclear industry, physics, chemistry, mechanics, construction, quality systems .... including ISO IAEA.

I work professionally with different types of texts and constantly upgrading my translation skills.

I have been working as a translator since 2005, maintaining long-term relationships with 4 medium and major translation agencies in Moscow. I have done only written translation primarily in IT field, less in law and some on oil and gas topics. Strong engineering and management background in telecom, telematic, broadcast, security and monitoring systems. Experience in project design, installation, and supervision of all types of such systems and sites, including security and alarm systems, CCTV, control and monitoring systems. Translator of technical documents / books since 1986, interpreter since 1991.
