My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2006, with more than 6 million words translated to date. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each.

I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.

Except of my university education was 80% in English and I learned the basics of the translation in the directions of the international relations, politics, economics, finance, business communication, tourism and art, I have a significant experience with English as a Second Language and here is the list of some projects I was and being involved in as a translator at the moment: - Software Localization for users (textile sector, 54k words); - Translation of the business-related internal communications, various announcements for personnel and administrative media materials for the international tobacco factory (8 years); - Translation and editing of marketing materials for the international glass producer as well as localization of the e-learning course for personnel (totally 50k words): - News and Media translation for global energy company. As a freelancer, I provide translation, transcreation, website & mobile app localization, proofreading, language quality assurance & project management services both for end clients and for translation agencies worldwide. As a director of a small translation company, I can also engage other specialist translators to satisfy your expertise needs and particular project requirements. Over the years, I have built up a team of dedicated in-house and freelance translators who work from English and German into their native Russian. Overall work experience: 12 years of full-time work, 2+ million words translated.

I speak fluently Russian (native language), English and Hebrew. I have two Master's degrees - one in Linguistics, Translation (Russian-English) and International Communication, and the other one in Applied Mathematics.
