I am both a Business Management and a Social Communication Bachelor, which I believe is a great advantage for understanding the corporative universe and advertisement industry. For that reason, I have knowledge of the specific vocabulary involving management, HR, finance, marketing, advertisement and so on. Besides that, I teach English to lawyers, accountants, admen and managers in Brazil as a private teacher, not only having to prepare specific classes, but also having to edit and proofread their emails and reports. Additionally, I have translated hospitality information and tour guides for a travel company. Given the growing exchange between countries, it is fundamental that services and products are accessible to an ever-wider number of people. I am interested in making all kinds of media more accessible to the general public, especially in places like Brazil, where few people speak English, although it is a widely spoken language.

Lucas Favaretto Tazinafo is a Bachelor of Biomedicine, Specialist in Clinical Analysis, Master of Biosciences and Doctor of Immunology and Pathophysiology by the University of São Paulo (USP). He is currently working as a translator, uniting his passion for the English language with science. I have been a freelance Professional Translator since 2013, specializing in Business, Marketing and Social Sciences. However, I have also performed successful translations in many other different fields, such as website and app contents, legal contracts, technical manuals, automotive systems, coaching materials, among others. I am very detail and quality oriented. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for over 5 years. I use SDL Trados 2011, but I always check my translations, sentence by sentence, for grammar, meaning and vocabulary use - no automatic translations! I am also very proficient in manual translations, which many clients demand in order to attain better quality.

I'm a System Engineer who loves languages and live in Brazil, I've worked as translator a few times, it's not my main profession but I certanly take care about the quality of my translations because of my love for right speaking and writing.

My experience as a translator ranges from technical documents to entertainment texts. I am a Law Bachelor and I have worked as a tax advisor, writing and proofreading documents in both English and Portuguese as daily jobs. I worked also on the Brazilian localization of EA’s FIFA 18 and Need for Speed Payback. My job was to ensure all texts and audio were properly translated for the Brazilian market, checking if these assets were correctly implemented in-game and that they fitted the game style and natural flow of the language. Such experience lit my desire of building bridges between different cultures and breaking down the language barriers between them. In my case, Portuguese is spoken by more than 255 million people, of which 210 million are Brazilians alone. However, the majority of the lusophone population has no understanding of the English language, and English speakers too have generally no knowledge of Portuguese. This is an obstacle I want to help undo.

Brazilian Portuguese Translator
