I have a degree in Law and I am a lawyer and I have a degree in Pharmacy having worked both in the pharmaceutical industry and managing a pharmacy. Since 2011 I decided to make translation a full time job and I do not regret it at all. I specialize in medical, pharmaceutical and legal translations but I also translate many other subjects. I am accurate and I deliver on time no matter what.

First, I would like to introduce myself very briefly. I am a 42-year old native Portuguese speaker, who grew, studied and, nowadays, works in Portugal (in the city with the famous hovering umbrella installation, by the way). I am a trained translator with a diploma in English and Portuguese languages and translation post-graduate studies. Before finishing university I decided to interrupt studies to work as an expatriate translator/interpreter in a construction project with a Portuguese company in Barbados. I have completed university after returning and never stopped doing what I really like: communicate between languages. I started teaching English teacher in Brazil immediately after I finished my English course. I passed Proficiency exams (Cambridge and Michigan) and took my graduation course at University. I worked as a teacher for many years, studied Spanish, took a subtitling course in Brazil before I moved to Argentina in 2005, where, besides teaching I started working as a freelancer translator.

I am a freelance translator fluent in both Portuguese and English. I have experience translating all sorts of texts (from mobile games and apps to instruction manuals and ads). I have also collaborated on the translation of a book and have translated one myself.
