I have been translating technical, business and private contents from English to Portuguese for more than 10 years. Throughout this time, I have translated and proofread documents such as, hospital equipment catalog, questionnaire, medical forms, surveys, restaurant menus, letters, product list, prenuptial agreement, nautical manual, children and adult apps, casino games, real state software among other documents. Besides my current position as a freelance Translator, I have some experience in Subtitling, considering rules of synchronization and how to use subtitling software. I am a translation student who has been working with translation since 2018. I have translated all kinds of texts of texts, from poetry to academic essays and articles. Since I am at university exclusively studying translation, I have a vast theoretical background combined with translation practice since it is part of the course curriculum. I have been part of a scientific initiation project for undergraduates and received an honorable mention for it.

I'm a System Engineer who loves languages and live in Brazil, I've worked as translator a few times, it's not my main profession but I certanly take care about the quality of my translations because of my love for right speaking and writing.

I am native Portuguese with excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills and I have almost as great skills in English. My brain is definitely bilingual. I have been a freelance Professional Translator since 2013, specializing in Business, Marketing and Social Sciences. However, I have also performed successful translations in many other different fields, such as website and app contents, legal contracts, technical manuals, automotive systems, coaching materials, among others. I am very detail and quality oriented. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for over 5 years. I translated some website articles as a volunteer (since 2010) and I worked for an import/export company where I was responsible for all external communications (English/Spanish).

I use SDL Trados 2011, but I always check my translations, sentence by sentence, for grammar, meaning and vocabulary use - no automatic translations! I am also very proficient in manual translations, which many clients demand in order to attain better quality.

Since I retired as a teacher, I became a full-time freelance translator and was very successful from the very beginning.
