I am an English teacher and translator, with fluent level of English and native Brazilian Portuguese.

I graduated in Translation and Language Studies (Letras) in 2004 and also work as an English and Portuguese teacher at public schools since 2005. During this period I have been working as a freelance translator and proof-reader and, truly, that is my passion.

I offer localization and translation services for games, books and documents (English> Portuguese). Some of my work of translator is the volunteer translation to Portuguese of the games Fallout: Shelter (to be released) and the translation, adaptation and revising of the game Dragon Age 2, wich has more than 345,000 words, both work for Tribo Gamer site. I'm not fluent in English, but I have practical experience.

A former Tourist Guide at the Port wine cellars, then a Portuguese Army Master Sergeant with international cooperation with several institutions in many missions abroad (NATO, EUROFOR, KFOR, EUFOR) and from 2012 to present a freelancer.

Prompt, attentive to detail, erudite

First, I would like to introduce myself very briefly. I am a 42-year old native Portuguese speaker, who grew, studied and, nowadays, works in Portugal (in the city with the famous hovering umbrella installation, by the way). I am a trained translator with a diploma in English and Portuguese languages and translation post-graduate studies. Before finishing university I decided to interrupt studies to work as an expatriate translator/interpreter in a construction project with a Portuguese company in Barbados. I have completed university after returning and never stopped doing what I really like: communicate between languages. My experience and skills are especially strong with medicine, IT/ICT, defence, business, marketing and legal translation, dealing with contracts, annual reports, corporate websites, bidding documents, business plans, brochures, presentations, written resolutions, and agreements, confidential emails, language assistance in meetings, also experience in diplomatic level. The total number of words over these 20 years exceeds 5,000,000 words, with companies and brand names such as Huawei, Unitel, IBM, Unilever, Suunto, Dell, Disney, Gesticer, Harley Davidson, to name a few. Hello. I have a few thing I'd like you to know about my work in translation: I've had some tasks translating from English to Portuguese and vice-versa, mainly casual translations. I'm fluent in English (Currently at C1 level) and speaking Portuguese as a mother tongue. I'm available to translate anything casual in topics such as History, Politics, Gaming, Arts, Geography and Technology. I'm not looking forward to earn money with this, I'm just here for the thrill!
