Native Norwegian with 20+ years of editorial experience, having worked as a translator, journalist and editor with both printed magazines and websites since 1996.
Translation-wise, I have worked extensively with translations from English, Danish and Swedish to Norwegian, for several of the largest media companies and publishing houses in the Nordics, as well as other major multinational corporations. Looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic translator? Well—that's me!
Languages, culture and communication are my passions—or rather my passion (in singular—since they, in my point of view, are one and the same).
And that to the extent that I have studied both English social and regional accents and Bulgarian traditional dialects, as well as comparative Slavonics (where I as a part of my studies translated the Gospel of Luke from Church Slavonic to contemporary Bulgarian, as a part of my degree).
I am currently working on a book project where I am translating poems by three Bulgarian poetesses from Bulgarian to Norwegian, and I will also start working as a translator on a regular basis for a publisher from August this year, where I will be translating one book each month, English into Norwegian.
However—I have enough free capacity and curiosity to take on more jobs.
Feel free to contact me—I will be happy to provide my services!

Final year Bachelors of Arts candidate in Translation, Media Studies, and Japanese Language from the University of East Anglia. Fluent in English and Norwegian with proficiency in spoken and written Japanese. I have a deep interest working with languages stemming from my experience in translation, subtitling and transcribing volunteer projects.
I was born in Norway. I have a bachelor degree (and an aborted master thesis) from the University of Tromsoe. In my studies in anthropology i focussed on the development of demand structures and market channels in the emerging markets of post-communist Eastern Europe.
Since May 2000 i have been living in Bulgaria. Here i set up a business that produces and sells jewellery. In addition to my managerial tasks, I have been doing the marketing and brand management of the company. I recently sold my shares in the business, and I would now like to try my hand at freelance writing, both translations and copywriting. In my spare time I am an avid duplicate bridge player.
