I'm a professional translator from English, French, Japanese into Italian (native speaker). I specialise in subtitles for TV shows, films and corporate videos but I also translate a wide range of texts, spanning from marketing and legal texts to videogame and software localisation. I work hard to ensure that the text is not only correct and accurate, but also natural. It means that I thoroughly research and study each topic I’m tasked with. The key words of my work are accuracy and reliability. When I translate my goal is to convey the message of the source text in the most correct and clearest way possible, without losing the perspective of how an Italian text should be written. I’ve also learned to find the best creative solutions for what cannot be expressed in the target language, solutions which are still consistent with the source message.

I have always had a great passion for languages, but it was during the high school when I realized that my passion could become my job. At that time, I understood that what made me really excited about was studying languages as a tool of communication and sharing so, after obtaining the diploma, I decided to make a change in my life by choosing a university focused on the practical study of languages in order to constantly apply the acquired skills and prove myself. ° ° ° I consider myself as an introvert and stubborn, but open-minded person, always willing to exchange views with others, to learn about different cultures and lifestyles, especially by travelling and getting to know new people. I am a native Italian speaker holding a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with certain experience in the provision of language and language-related services. I am passionate about what I do - Linguistics has bewitched me since middle school - and I feel lucky to have the possibility to enjoy such a dynamic job. I am also an inveterate traveller, with a insatiable hunger for diversity, customs and traditions forgotten by the whole world and growth opportunities - in all their forms.

I have been working as translator since the graduation from University for foreign languages where I studied English, Italian and German language. My work as interpreter and translator is based on work in retail, marketing, law firm, NGO on protection for human rights. In different areas of my work I gained expertise in different sectors such as economics, finance, law and marketing. However, other areas of work are more than familiar to me.

I finished University in 1999 and since then I have always worked in the translation field. I have good work relationships with some major global translation companies and I am used to working with a variety of offline and online CAT tools. I am always available for short translation tests to give potential clients the opportunity to try my services.
