I am a young, Italian freelance translator working with English and Russian. I have started working while I was still studying and now I have 3 years of experience in different fields from art to IT, through tourism and steelmaking. I was lucky enough to choose my job as well as my specialization fields: I need to have some real interest in the topic to provide a great service--earning money cannot be the only aim.

I am a research doctor in Slavic studies and Ural-Altaic philology. Member of AIS (Italian Slavists Association). Native languages: Italian and Russian. I've been working as a freelance translator since 2004, therefore I can deem myself quite skilled in such a field. Being a highly responsible and qualified linguist, I firmly believe that any translated text has to flow and fit the culture of the language as well as the target audience it is written and translated for. I'm an Italian TRANSLATOR, PROOFREADER, author and teacher with a degree in English Language and Literature. I translate from ENGLISH and FRENCH to ITALIAN, my native language, I have worked in the publishing field as an author and coauthor, writing and editing books, dictionaries and readers for students of English (for more than 12 years), and created crosswords and puzzles in English for a magazine published monthly (for about five years). The subjects I'm more interested in are: tourism and monuments, history, geography, literature, gardening and plants, food and drinks, art, environment, animals, hobbies, celebrations, traditions, folklore, society, religion, children's books, stories, proverbs, poems, songs, music.
