Established in July 2019 providing translations and related services between Dutch - English - German. Thorsten, the owner/consultant, has over 25 years experience working in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Contract Management and Customer Services for large and small (multi)national/multi-site private and public organisations; such as Philips Electronics NV, Dow Chemicals Ltd, Johnson Matthey Catalysts Plc, Local Government, NHS, Ubisoft, CEVA Logistics, Caterpillar, NSK Europe, Avaya and Teleperformance UK. Born and raised in The Netherlands to a Dutch mother and a German father, languages have always been a part of his life. At secondary school also studied French and Spanish, but these are not strong enough to provide translation services for. Moved to the UK in 2000 where his language skills were in great demand by purchasing/supply chain management/procurement/contract management/logistics and customer service departments.

I have a Master's degree in translation and interpreting (German/English/Spanish) and I did two Bachelor's degrees in transcultural communication and Spanish language. Thanks to many stays abroad in the US, Spain, and Latin America I could perfect my English and Spanish skills. Besides working as a translator and interpreter, I also do subtitles in German, English, and Spanish. I'm really looking forward to new projects and collaborations with you!

I have been working as a translator for a number of international agencies and online platforms for more than 9 years now. In addition, I worked as a teacher of French, English and German for about 13 years, preparing students for their A-Levels. I hold an M.A. in English, French and Literature and completed my studies at the University of Osnabrück in December 2011. During my studies, I spent two academic years abroad, namely in Angers (France) and in Montréal (Québec, Canada) and have been to the US a number of times over the years as well. Starting out as an interpreter for a local translation agency in 2013, I have been expanding my collaboration with a number of international agencies and online platforms ever since and completed countless translations for major international companies and SMEs from all over the world.

English to German Translator My areas of expertise are technical, financial (with a special focus on forex), e-commerce, tourism, medical and academic texts. Language has always fascinated me-not merely the speaking of foreign languages but the act of translation in particular. Transforming the precise meaning of a text and making it alive in a different language requires more than an excellent command of the grammar and vocabulary of the target language. The translated text needs to sound natural and fluent, and maintaining the correct context is similarly essential. Translation of web-based e-commerce​ pages, for instance, is very different from translating an academic text or a literary piece. I specialize in translating documents from English or Dutch into German, my mother tongue. I translate only into my home language as translations out of one’s home language can go badly wrong-both for oneself and for the client-if one is not fully bilingual. I am reliable.

Originally from Germany, I have spent the last 8 years working and living abroad, improving and building upon my language skills. Graduated with a Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering, I have more than 3 years post-graduate experience in the mechanical engineering industry. I am highly specialized in technical translation, especially for the automotive & engineering business and can guarantee excellent written content for a better & smoother readers’ experience as well as deadline commitment. I am a very happy, optimistic and outgoing person. I have a lovely family and with my parents I moved to Spain when I was 11 years young. I returned to Germany in two occasions to finish my baccalaureate and to gain work experience, but my initial schooling years were in Spain. I love nature and animals, at home we have dogs and cats. My working life has been mostly in the financial world with over 15 years experience, having achieved also directing my own branch and team of 5. I left the banking industry to dedicate myself to my passion, languages and am loving it! In addition to this I do networking events for different companies and give their presentations and speeches, to help in their international developments. I discovered my love for languages in young years, always wanted to know what other are saying. I am a native German and soon learned English, Spanish and French. As I lived in Spain since I am 11 years old, I consider my Spanish level as bilingual.
