English to German Translator My areas of expertise are technical, financial (with a special focus on forex), e-commerce, tourism, medical and academic texts. Language has always fascinated me-not merely the speaking of foreign languages but the act of translation in particular. Transforming the precise meaning of a text and making it alive in a different language requires more than an excellent command of the grammar and vocabulary of the target language. The translated text needs to sound natural and fluent, and maintaining the correct context is similarly essential. Translation of web-based e-commerce​ pages, for instance, is very different from translating an academic text or a literary piece. I specialize in translating documents from English or Dutch into German, my mother tongue. In June 2022, I graduated from Istanbul University, Department of German Translation and Interpreting. I have been professionally providing translation services to many translation companies and offices for 1 year. I specialize in technical, legal and medical translations.

I have graduated with full marks in Translation Studies for Information Technologies at Heidelberg University in 2018, with a thesis on the translation of a German website in English. During my bachelor I participated to Erasmus+ program, going to London Metropolitan University for two semesters. In 2017 I have done an internship in a German LSP, where I provided technical translations from English to German and vice-versa. While in London, I have partly translated London Metropolitan University website to German.

Having studied Dutch, International and European (Corporate and Commercial) Law in Maastricht on Master level and being half Dutch I'm able to master the Dutch language on a fairly high level. Also, I have achieved the official language certificate NT2 II which refers to level B2/C1 and is aimed at university level. My English skills are mirrored by two Cambridge Certificates (FCE and CAE which refer to the level B2 and C1) combined with 15/15 points for my Abitur-exam in 2012.
