I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I strongly believe that to translate accurately, one needs to master not only the languages and translation techniques but also the subject in both the source and target languages. I am also convinced that to be an efficient translator, one needs to be flexible, be able to work alone or within a constantly moving team and have good organisational skills. My goal when I translate is to release well finished documents or applications that will be easy and pleasant to use. I am a professional translator/interpreter from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Free lance experience since 1998 (see details in my CV attached hereto). I mainly work in the field of industry, especially metallurgy, as our region has been developing since the 18th century around metal extraction and metal work. I am able to provide on site translation service as well as translation of any documents supporting your project - from technical data sheets and descriptions to contracts and reports. In 2013, I started translating articles for the Russian Academy of Sciences (the Ural Branch). Since that time, no article has been refused by foreign publishing houses and offices for a poor quality of translation.

I have an extensive background in working as a full-time Russian/English and English/Russian interpreter and a freelance translator specilizing in technical translation.

Freelancing gives me more time with my wife and three young boys and the flexibility to explore the world.
