English to French Translator

From 1990 to 2003, I worked mainly as programmer, using various languages such as Fortran, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, SQL, Javascript and Perl and as system administrator, setting computers and networks and familiar with UNIX, and most of Windows OS and Mac OS versions. - From 2001 to 2010, I worked as French translator in an in-house translation department, translating over 7 millions words. This included company literature, magazines, services brochures, finance manuals, computers manuals, Web sites, voice over scripts and subtitles. - From 2011 to 2015, I became a Translation System Manager, implementing the SDL WorldServer solution in my department, setting up the software including workflows and filters, writing training material for the translators and translation manager and getting the system in used. Additionally to the classes about electro-technics, fabrication processes in the automobile industry and nanotechnologies I took while I was studying conference interpreting at the University of Saarland, I have work experience as in-house translator in a technical translation agency and an e-commerce company that offers a wide variety of professional products - from deep fryers and refrigerators to tools and massage tables.
