I'm a French Canadian translator with a strong professional background in public relations, communications, marketing and customer service, more particularly in the fields of: arts and culture, sports and tourism. Originally from Montreal, I learned English while living in Toronto. My passion for languages and cultural discoveries later took me to beautiful Costa Rica, where I am now based.

Born in Paris to a bi-lingual family, I grew up speaking English, French and Hausa natively. I spent most of my childhood in Saudi Arabia where I got to learn Arabic. Travelling around the world made me develop high cultural sensitivity skills. As a subcontractor, I have had the opportunity to translate for top hotel brands, financial institutions and UN specialized institutions, including Marriott, the Islamic Development Bank, the World Health Organization.

I'm a French native speaker from Brussels, Belgium (born in 1981). My background is scientific: I have several degrees in the biomedical and life sciences fields, including a Ph.D. in Biotechnology. I have over 10 years of experience in healthcare and research. During that time, I also offered translation services in my field as a secondary part-time activity. As of 2020, I am now a full-time translator English-to-French and French-to-English. My main interests remain in the medical/health sciences field, but I am also interested in a variety of other subjects that are not necessarily science related.
