I've entered the field of translation in 2016 after being involved in other activities after finishing my masters in Translation studies. So, it was somehow going back to my first love. Since that moment translating has become my main activity, working as a freelance translator with agencies and private clients ever since. In this globalized world, when connections are very important in every field, whether we talk about business, travel, private life or medical issue, I feel that translators are that bridge that allow people to get where they need or where they want. The diversity of documents and fields that I have the opportunity to work with as a translator make me appreciate the challenges and enrich my knowledge. I am a professional translator/interpreter from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Free lance experience since 1998 (see details in my CV attached hereto). I mainly work in the field of industry, especially metallurgy, as our region has been developing since the 18th century around metal extraction and metal work. I am able to provide on site translation service as well as translation of any documents supporting your project - from technical data sheets and descriptions to contracts and reports. In 2013, I started translating articles for the Russian Academy of Sciences (the Ural Branch). Since that time, no article has been refused by foreign publishing houses and offices for a poor quality of translation.

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. I have been working as a freelance translator for the past 21 years. I do not own a university degree in translation/interpretation, but the multitude of translation projects I have worked on over the years has done more for my capacity as a translator than any degree could have ever done. Though French is my mother tongue, I have spent the last 21 years living both in French and English (my partner is an American citizen). As a translator, I am both thorough and efficient, and I always meet my deadlines. I also believe that my work with the French Foreign Affairs, carried out through assignments of 2 to 3-year terms in various posts around the world (El Salvador, the United States, France, The Netherlands, Latvia, Switzerland and now Monaco) constitutes a definite asset for this position. I am a senior French translator (EN, ES and PT into FR) with 12 years of experience in economics, business, and legal translation (and 7 years of prior experience in IT services sales teams). I have a comprehensive knowledge of CAT and DTP tools and strong skills in text editing, terminology management and project coordination. I first graduated from a French Business School (EDHEC 1995) and worked as an IT services saleswoman for 7 years (sectors: aeronautics and defence; health industry). Then I quit my position to study translation for 3 years, graduated from the ESIT in 2007, and joined the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance as a translator the same year (after a competitive examination). In 2014, I joined the OECD French translation division (after another competitive examination) to work mainly on the BEPS Project (OECD/G20 project to fight tax evasion).
