I strongly believe that to translate accurately, one needs to master not only the languages and translation techniques but also the subject in both the source and target languages. I am also convinced that to be an efficient translator, one needs to be flexible, be able to work alone or within a constantly moving team and have good organisational skills. My goal when I translate is to release well finished documents or applications that will be easy and pleasant to use. Trained as a translator and with over ten years working experience in a very specialized sector, I use both my thecnical background and translation skills to make your texts and applications as French as possible.

I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I translate websites, contracts, business presentations, products descriptions, medical records etc ....

I'm a professional French native translator/proofreader for more than 5 years and I do have a great multitasking experience from different projects that I handled in the past years from a freelancer to a local professional. I do manage fluently English and Spanish and I can handle projects from any of these language combinations.

I'm French and I've worked and studied in Spain, New Zealand and Canada. I'm currently living in Prague where I work as an IT test lead. I do translations as a side job and as a volunteer, especially for the Rosetta Fondation.

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I would also like to add that I can handle deadlines just fine.

During the past six years, I have gathered extensive experience in translation from English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish into French. I worked with a wide range of topics and media such as press articles, videos, or technical reports about international trade, environmental sciences, energy, economics, politics, and arts. I also have experience with editing and proofreading.

From 1990 to 2003, I worked mainly as programmer, using various languages such as Fortran, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, SQL, Javascript and Perl and as system administrator, setting computers and networks and familiar with UNIX, and most of Windows OS and Mac OS versions. - From 2001 to 2010, I worked as French translator in an in-house translation department, translating over 7 millions words. This included company literature, magazines, services brochures, finance manuals, computers manuals, Web sites, voice over scripts and subtitles. - From 2011 to 2015, I became a Translation System Manager, implementing the SDL WorldServer solution in my department, setting up the software including workflows and filters, writing training material for the translators and translation manager and getting the system in used. I've entered the field of translation in 2016 after being involved in other activities after finishing my masters in Translation studies. So, it was somehow going back to my first love. Since that moment translating has become my main activity, working as a freelance translator with agencies and private clients ever since. In this globalized world, when connections are very important in every field, whether we talk about business, travel, private life or medical issue, I feel that translators are that bridge that allow people to get where they need or where they want. The diversity of documents and fields that I have the opportunity to work with as a translator make me appreciate the challenges and enrich my knowledge. One thing is for sure, it is hard to get bored when you are a translator and loving what you o!

I have a 9 years experience, having translated more than a million words all in all in my career, not counting all the translations I do for fun because I just like it ! I have a degree in biological engineering, completed by my vast general culture and professional experience in leadership positions in various companies, which means I can handle very well any topic from medicine to finance and marketing through video games and social sciences. I'm originally from Belgium but I now live in Côte d'Ivoire, which means I can do translations localized for both European and African audiences. My mantra is : if it sounds good, then it is good. It is utmost important for me that the audience cannot guess that they are reading a translation : they must feel as if the document was originally written by a native speaker. That is my objective. I'm also very strict regarding to spelling and typography since French has its own specific rules on capitals, brackets, etc. You won't be disappointed.

Rigour and reactivity, curiosity, culture, I am also moved when I read. I react first of all to the form, to the language that I judge cold, neutral or neat. Wooden language, technical language or passionate language: I take it into account and try to reproduce it as best I can.
