I am a senior French translator (EN, ES and PT into FR) with 12 years of experience in economics, business, and legal translation (and 7 years of prior experience in IT services sales teams). I have a comprehensive knowledge of CAT and DTP tools and strong skills in text editing, terminology management and project coordination. I first graduated from a French Business School (EDHEC 1995) and worked as an IT services saleswoman for 7 years (sectors: aeronautics and defence; health industry). Then I quit my position to study translation for 3 years, graduated from the ESIT in 2007, and joined the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance as a translator the same year (after a competitive examination). From 1990 to 2003, I worked mainly as programmer, using various languages such as Fortran, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, SQL, Javascript and Perl and as system administrator, setting computers and networks and familiar with UNIX, and most of Windows OS and Mac OS versions. - From 2001 to 2010, I worked as French translator in an in-house translation department, translating over 7 millions words. I'm a 29 years old French girl who first worked in Education, then decided to change and study Tourism. After 2 years as a Tour Guide in Portugal, working daily in English, French and basic Portuguese, I'm back in France.
