I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I translate websites, contracts, business presentations, products descriptions, medical records etc ....

Please find out about my highlights: MY TWO MAIN EXPERIENCES: - 2017: United Nations EN>FR Reviewer at the UNAKRT (Khmer Rouge Trials), Cambodia. Transcripts: Khmer (source), EN (relay), FR (target). I reviewed 45 transcripts, correcting many inconsistencies in the interpretation (mostly of uneducated Cambodian lay people witnessing in court). - 2011-2013: point French translator at NPO Avaaz.org (advocacy campaigns & petitions). Web-based work, tight schedules, thriving international environment; daily communications with the campaigners located all around the world. Rigour and reactivity, curiosity, culture, I am also moved when I read. I react first of all to the form, to the language that I judge cold, neutral or neat. Wooden language, technical language or passionate language: I take it into account and try to reproduce it as best I can.

I have been into translation for over a decade now, I am passionate about this work and have helped translate thousands of files for my clients in different fields.

I am a senior French translator (EN, ES and PT into FR) with 12 years of experience in economics, business, and legal translation (and 7 years of prior experience in IT services sales teams). I have a comprehensive knowledge of CAT and DTP tools and strong skills in text editing, terminology management and project coordination. I first graduated from a French Business School (EDHEC 1995) and worked as an IT services saleswoman for 7 years (sectors: aeronautics and defence; health industry). Then I quit my position to study translation for 3 years, graduated from the ESIT in 2007, and joined the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance as a translator the same year (after a competitive examination). In 2014, I joined the OECD French translation division (after another competitive examination) to work mainly on the BEPS Project (OECD/G20 project to fight tax evasion). In 2020, I started working as a freelancer, which allowed me to move from Paris to Normandy (life quality: +3000%).
