I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.

In the 5 years where I have been in business, both as an in-house and a freelance translator, I have gained extensive experience in different fields such as commercial, legal, financial, technical and general translation. I am an advanced user of SDL Trados studio CAT tool, with proficient knowledge of Microsoft word, MemoQ, Across, Wordfast, among others.

I have an extensive background in working as a full-time Russian/English and English/Russian interpreter and a freelance translator specilizing in technical translation.

I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) Freelancing gives me more time with my wife and three young boys and the flexibility to explore the world. It also allows me to work with people from all over the world and from different backgrounds.
