Professional translator

I have been working as a translator since 2018, when I started to attend the Languages and Cultures for Tourism and International Mediation course at the University of Bari. I graduated with the highest grade (110 e lode) and started my specialisation at the University of Turin (a Translation course focusing on literary translation). I work from both English and French and I am fond of literature: novels, poetry, theatre are my highest aims.

I used to work as researcher in biology. I did my PhD in Paris, followed by a three year postdoc in Germany. Since June 2017, I'm trying to switch career to a language related one. My 6 years experience in an academic setting provided me with expertise not only in theoretical and experimental biology, programming and office software, but also in writing and proofreading scientific articles in both English and French.

I am a freelance translator providing French and Portuguese translation services since 2014. I’ve spent a few years learning the ropes in a localization company before becoming independent. My experience spans over more than a dozen industries and well over a hundred clients. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I would also like to add that I can handle deadlines just fine.
