Hello everyone, my name is Lea. I am a Korean-born German citizen, with a passion for learning languages. Having lived in multiple countries (Korea, France, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg), I am fluent in French, English and Korean (my mother tongue), and have an intermediate level of German. I completed a bilingual International Baccalaureate diploma in 2017, and have been studying in Geneva, the French-speaking region of Switzerland. I am currently attending the University of Strasbourg, with a double major in Economics & Management and Foreign Applied Languages (English, German) I have prior experience in online subtitle translating on a video platform, language tutoring, as well as interpreting between Korean and French/English speakers. I enjoy helping others to break down language or cultural barriers, and translating and interpreting has always been a pleasant experience for me.

I have been working as a freelance translator for the past 21 years. I do not own a university degree in translation/interpretation, but the multitude of translation projects I have worked on over the years has done more for my capacity as a translator than any degree could have ever done. Though French is my mother tongue, I have spent the last 21 years living both in French and English (my partner is an American citizen). As a translator, I am both thorough and efficient, and I always meet my deadlines. I also believe that my work with the French Foreign Affairs, carried out through assignments of 2 to 3-year terms in various posts around the world (El Salvador, the United States, France, The Netherlands, Latvia, Switzerland and now Monaco) constitutes a definite asset for this position. My experience in the field of diplomatic relations means that I am already used to working in an international environment, in foreign countries, and with people of different backgrounds/cultures.

Native French speaker working from both English and Portuguese to French, I translated over 500,000 words so far since I started translating in mid-2015 and provided LQA services for several games and apps. Born in Paris to a bi-lingual family, I grew up speaking English, French and Hausa natively. I spent most of my childhood in Saudi Arabia where I got to learn Arabic. Travelling around the world made me develop high cultural sensitivity skills. Hi, I am Mücahid, mostly called Muco for short :). I am a freelance translator with 2 years of experience. I have been speaking English for 17 years and French for 6 years. I am a huge books and movies nerd, and I am not just saying that, I love Star Wars Saga, Pulp Fiction (actually, nearly all movies made by Tarantino), Godfather, City of Women and a lot more... I also love rock. To begin with groups, Black Sabbath, Ghost, Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin, and more. Besides that, I went to Medical High school, so I am familiar with latin terms. I also lived in Paris, France for 6 months. During that time, I studied at Sorbonne. I visited Louvre, Picasso, Rodin, many many bookstores, libraries and Eiffel Tower, obviously :).

I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.

I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I translate websites, contracts, business presentations, products descriptions, medical records etc ....

I'm a professional French native translator/proofreader for more than 5 years and I do have a great multitasking experience from different projects that I handled in the past years from a freelancer to a local professional.
