However, keep in mind that it depends on the type, timing and length of the project.

I agree to work for a lower rate when I work for NGOs for example. I always consider the rate to be an open dialogue between me and my partners. I use Trados Studio 2019 as a CAT Tool and I am also available for the moment for any urgent assignment under the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. Please contact me any time.

Raised in a bilingual environment (French-Italian), I have naturally turned to languages and translation as a lifetime activity. With a university translation degree in hand, I explored various professional sectors to specialize in in specific areas - tourism&travel, hotels, education, fashion, aeronautics.

I'm a French native speaker from Brussels, Belgium (born in 1981). I live in the US since 1994 and I'm working as a Translator/Proofreader -French (France and Belgium), English (UK/US), Spanish (Spain/Latin America/US), some Italian to English (2007-present) and French, and Consecutive Interpreter - French, English, Spanish (2009-present) - currently in NY. For certain advanced/expert translation, I'm more comfortable translating into English. I'm a Candidate in the Spanish to English Translation Programme at NYU CPS (NY University School of Continuing and Professional Studies) to earn my Translation Certificates and pursuing continuing adult education/professional translation studies at Translation and Interpreter Training at International School of Linguists and other companies. I also hope to become an accomplished author/writer and poet.

From 1990 to 2003, I worked mainly as programmer, using various languages such as Fortran, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, SQL, Javascript and Perl and as system administrator, setting computers and networks and familiar with UNIX, and most of Windows OS and Mac OS versions. - From 2001 to 2010, I worked as French translator in an in-house translation department, translating over 7 millions words. This included company literature, magazines, services brochures, finance manuals, computers manuals, Web sites, voice over scripts and subtitles.

- From 2011 to 2015, I became a Translation System Manager, implementing the SDL WorldServer solution in my department, setting up the software including workflows and filters, writing training material for the translators and translation manager and getting the system in used. Then, I started hundreds of projects on the system (all type of files - text, Word, Excel, XML, HTML, InDesign, etc.), preparing the files to be assigned by the Translation Managers while doing also being the technical support for translators and translations managers.
